World’s nuclear arsenals expanding, driven by US and Russia, researchers warns

Most nuclear weapons have continued to modernize their arsenals in 2024, which increased the risk of a new arms race, researchers announced on Monday. International Stockholm Peace Research Institute said that the United States and Russia, holding 90% of world stocks, spent last year improving existing warheads and deploying new generation nuclear weapons.
