Figueroa Cotto controlled the fight with consistent power and constant pressure, doing enough in each round to separate himself on the scorecards. Rodriguez was competitive and durable, but he was unable to keep up with the young fighter over the entire distance.

Two judges scored the fight 58-56, with a third turning a wider card 60-54, all in favor of Figueroa Cotto.

The win improved Figueroa Cotto’s record to 8-0 with a knockout, while Rodriguez fell to 12-10-3 with five stoppage wins. The fight was another all-Puerto Rican clash on a card featuring several local fighters.

Yandiel Lozano entered his third professional fight and came away with a unanimous decision victory over Johniel Ramos Cotto in a scheduled six-round junior lightweight bout.

Lozano’s higher work rate and cleaner technique proved decisive over the distance, although the competition remained competitive throughout. Ramos Cotto, the larger of the two fighters, had times when he was successful, but Lozano always dominated rounds with activity and timing.

The win improved Lozano’s record to 3-0, still without a knockout, while Ramos Cotto dropped to 3-3 with a stoppage victory. The fight featured two young Puerto Rican prospects and went over six full rounds.

Caleb Joshua of the Pagan Paganmaking his professional debut after a long amateur career that included Olympic qualifying bouts, stopped fellow debutant Justin Hill in the second round of their scheduled four-round bantamweight fight.

Tirado Pagan controlled the action from the opening bell, pushing forward behind consistent volume and sustained pressure. Hill was unable to slow the pace or create space as Tirado Pagan continued to push the fight.

The referee stopped the fight at 1:59 of the second round after Hill absorbed a prolonged sequence of unanswered punches, granting Tirado Pagan a knockout victory in his professional debut.
