Joleon Lescott has launched a DJ career after performing, and it seems he has the full support of one of his former teammates: Micah Richards.
Lescott, whose father was also a DJ, fulfilled his lifelong dream by performing at the Reading Festival on the Jägermeister stage, spinning an energetic collection of dance anthems for a huge crowd.
But front and center in the audience wasn’t just any fan: it was Richards, making sure nothing was missed.
Richards, who spent five seasons with Lescott at Manchester City and helped the club win two Premier League titles, was captured in footage dancing, holding a bottle of Jägermeister and joining in with fans – including one wearing a City shirt – much to Lescott’s amusement.

Another video reposted to Instagram by Richards showed him taking the mic as Lescott’s MC, leading the crowd in chants between songs and getting the audience buzzing.
Having made more than 100 club and country appearances together, it’s clear that Lescott and Richards’ friendship has seamlessly extended far beyond the field – with Lescott commanding the decks and Richards helping to bring the party in front of him to life.
