On Saturday, MLB Trade Rumors was published on X, claiming that the New York Mets could also be in this group.

Several fans shared their reactions in the comments.
“This makes no sense for the Mets lol,” one fan wrote.
“So close to spring training the Mets have no idea what they are doing. Totally embarrassing,” another fan commented.
“😂 Mets ants do shit,” another fan replied.
“Mets radar is broken…crackerjack box,” another fan replied.
“Only the casino is on the Mets radar,” another fan common.
“Don’t be fooled. It’s not,” another fan job.
Instead of the New York Mets, Analyst Jake Savicki predicted Kyle Tucker would sign with the Los Angeles Dodgerson Friday’s episode of the “Hold My Ball Podcast.”
“I think he’s going to end up with the Dodgers on a short-term contract,” Savicki said (timestamp: 10:44). “He’s going to be 29 this year. Give him three years with the Dodgers. (Maybe) four. Give him 180 (million). $45 million a year. For me, that’s what I would do. I know it’s a ton of money, but it’s short, and you’ll get him from 29, 30, 31, 32. I’m OK with that. I’ll pay you all that money. We have (Shohei) Ohtani. We have all these guys. We have Teoscar (Hernandez), who is coming back, I think, for one more year.
“(Kyle) Tucker, probably a much better defensive option. If Teoscar hits the ball, put Tucker in center maybe. Why not? (Andy) Pages is not your offensive answer. At least he wasn’t last year. I feel like they make the most sense. If he takes a short three or four year deal with the Dodgers, and he signs and makes a lot of money, he’ll be 31 or 32 when it will all be over and he can sign another gigantic contract. You can get your $400 million, but you may have to do it in two different contracts.
However Kyle Tucker was initially expected to get a huge long-term contract, the fact that he still remains unsigned has led many to believe that a short-term deal with a high AAV could also be a possibility.
