In a moving message shared on social media, Kayla Vesia spoke of the family tragedy she and her husband experienced: Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Alex Vesia, endured.
In November, the couple announced the death of their daughter, Sterling Sol Vesia.
“Our beautiful daughter went to heaven on Sunday, October 26,” they said in a joint statement.

In Friday’s more than two-minute show TikTok videoKayla suggested she was at a loss for words.
“You know, I don’t have much to say, honestly,” Kayla said in her first video posted to the social media platform in 2026.

“Alex and I are just trying to get through each day. Every day is so different for us right now, and I don’t really have the words.”
Kayla also expressed gratitude for the support she and her husband received in the weeks and months following this tragic loss.
“It was just coming here and saying, ‘Thank you,’” she said. “I’m really grateful to your community, and I just expressed your support and love for us. It’s really brought us a lot of comfort during this time.”
Alex and Kayla have been married since 2024. They announced that they were expecting their first baby together in April 2025. In the months since, they have posted several photos on social media documentation pregnancy.

Shortly before last year’s World Series, relief pitcher walked away from the team and did not return to the field in any game of the seven-game series.
The Dodgers then released a statement saying Vesia was handling a “deeply personal matter” that would require him to spend an undisclosed amount of time away from the team.

Kayla’s TikTok video also noted that she didn’t know what her “content would look like in the future,” adding, “But I want to share my journey.
“I don’t know how much I’m going to share. I don’t know. I don’t know the details, but I know I want to share, and if it can help someone who’s going through the same thing, to feel like they’re not alone,” she said.

Alex finished 2024 with 68 regular season appearances and started seven playoff games. The Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays in seven games to win the 2025 World Series, securing the title for a second straight season.
