Sandler, 59, brought Jackie, 51, to the awards show on Sunday, January 4, at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California. The comedian attended the ceremony in honor of his latest film, Jay Kelly.
The couple were all smiles as they posed on the red carpet, with Sandler wearing a navy suit while Jackie stunned in a strapless blue dress with a thigh-high slit.
Sandler is up for Best Supporting Actor at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards for his role in Jay Kellyalongside Sean Penn For One battle after another, Paul Mescal For Hamnet, Jacob Elord For Frankenstein And Stellan Skarsgard For Sentimental value. Sandler’s nomination is one of three nominations for the film, which also earned nominations for best original screenplay and best cast and ensemble.

The dramatic comedy, written and directed by Noah Baumbachfollows an aging A-list movie star (George Clooney) as he comes to terms with past regrets of losing time with his family, including his two daughters, played by Riley Keough And Grace Edwards – in pursuit of a successful career. Sandler was praised for his performance as Jay’s good-natured manager, Ron, who accompanies his client on a trip through Europe.
After Jay Kelly created at Venice Film Festival in August 2025, Sandler immediately began generating Oscar buzz. He was asked if his name came up in the awards conversation the following month, saying People he was just happy to be included in the project.
“Well, that’s really cool and really nice of everyone to say that, and I’m just happy I got to be a part of it,” he said at the time. “My man, Noah Baumbach, wrote it, kind of put it all together, got the performances he expected from everyone and I’m proud to be a part of it.”
An added bonus for Sandler was getting another chance to play alongside one of his children. (He shares girls Sadie19 years old, and Sunny17 years old, with Jackie). Sadie plays his daughter on screenVivienne, in Jay Kellywho spends much of the film asking his father to put his children before his star client.
“She’s so good in it and I love her,” Sandler gushed about the 19-year-old during a November 2025 appearance on Hello America. “Proud of herself, she worked hard and never stopped preparing.”

Earlier this month, Sandler said AND! News that even though he gives Sadie and Sunny advice about the industry, they are ultimately on their “own path” in what they want to do – which doesn’t include stand-up comedy like their father.
“They don’t want to have [into] that. They just want to act“, Sandler confirmed, noting that this plan suits him. “They’re really funny and nice kids, and no matter what they want to do, I want them to be happy.”
