Timothée Chalamet Steals Critics’ Choice Night With A Moment

Even though “One Battle After Another” won Best Picture, Chalamet’s win, along with a surprising personal moment on stage, ensured Chalamet remained the person everyone was talking about.

“You know, Josh, you told the story of a flawed man with a relatable dream, and you didn’t preach to the audience about right and wrong. I think we should all tell stories like that. Thank you for the dream,” the actor added.

“Marty Supreme,” produced by A24, entered the evening as a strong contender but ultimately lost the best picture award to “One Battle After Another,” a Warner Bros. production.

The best picture field also included “Bugonia,” “Frankenstein,” “Hamnet,” “Jay Kelly, Sentimental Value,” “Sinners,” “Train Dreams” and “Wicked: For Good.”

Still, Chalamet’s victory cemented his performance as one of the most celebrated of the year, even on an extremely competitive roster.

One of the most talked about moments of the evening came when Chalamet turned his acceptance speech into a heartfelt confession of love.

Addressing his girlfriend of three years, Kylie Jenner, the movie star said: “Thank you to my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Kylie seemed visibly emotional in the audience, looking at Chalamet as he spoke and replying, “I love you too.”

The exchange instantly lit up the room, blending personal vulnerability with professional triumph.
