Man stalked and kidnapped his ex and shot her new boyfriend


What started as a new beginning quickly turned into a nightmare. Aaron Webb’s This name is now at the center of a disturbing situation unfolding in Texas. Authorities say a woman who thought they had put distance between herself and her past instead followed her straight to her front door. And it set off a chain of events that left one man injured and many lives shattered.

Past relationship fueled late-night home invasion

The Arlington Police Department said Webb, 25, reunited with his ex-girlfriend after she left the state to escape him. Investigators say Webb had called and texted her several times before showing up uninvited at an apartment in the 700 block of Forest Hills Drive around 11 p.m. Tuesday night. Inside the home were five people – two women, a man and two children – when police say Webb forced entry.

The authorities say Webb shot the woman’s new boyfriend, a 29-year-old man, before kidnapping his ex-girlfriend and forcing her into a vehicle against her will. Shortly afterward, officers received a second call reporting a shooting victim outside an apartment just minutes away. Police found the injured man responsive and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors expect him to survive. Meanwhile, the other occupants, including the children, escaped through the rear window and ran to safety.

Suspect arrested after multi-city search and faces multiple criminal charges

With the help of witnesses and law enforcement cameras, officers tracked the suspect’s vehicle to Fort Worth. Webb was arrested and the woman was rescued. Police say she suffered facial injuries after being punched by the 25-year-old, but is otherwise physically unharmed. Webb is now reserved for Arlington prison and faces several criminal charges. His charges include aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping and burglary with intent to assault. Additional charges include deadly conduct and stalking.
