A documentary about the making of Stranger Things is coming to Netflix next week

Netflix has just announced the upcoming release of a on the heels of . It will premiere on January 12. One last adventure focuses on the making of season five, so it’s not a complete retrospective of the series. This seems similar to what Disney+ does a few weeks after the release of a popular Star Wars or Marvel show.

Still, it’s a documentary about the very last season of the show, so there will probably be tearful goodbyes and all that jazz. In fact, the trailer shows plenty of hugs as well as sit-down interviews.

This will shed light on how certain stunts and sets came together, which is cool. Stranger Thingsafter all, is first and foremost a show about spectacle and season five had plenty of that in spades. The Duffer brothers will also explain how they came to write some of these final character arcs (no spoilers here.)

If you’re mourning the loss of Steve Harrington, Delightful Derrick, Eleven and the others, this should make for a great watch. It should be noted that although Stranger Things has dispensed its last drop of the needle, the franchise itself is still a work in progress.
