Kim Kardashian ignores PETA’s reaction to puppy release

One clip showed Chicago holding one of the puppies and giving it kisses while Psalm talked about racing with the puppies in the background. The next Instagram story update showed the two children playing, laughing and running around on all fours with the puppies.

A sweet and humorous moment was captured as Chicago happily played with a puppy who tried to chew on her hair, making Kardashian, who was holding two other puppies in her arms, laugh.

After introducing the newest additions to her pet family with a simple photo announcement and a caption that read “Every Kid Has a Puppy,” the media went into a tailspin. Animal welfare advocates, including PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk, had their say on the reality TV star’s decision.

She expressed that it was a shame for Kardashian to pass up the opportunity to be a spokesperson for the shelter’s puppies. Siding with the critics, she added that the backlash Kardashian faced on social media was fair.

Newkirk also called out the iconic star, calling dogs stuffed animals, saying “puppies aren’t stuffed animals,” before adding that she could make it up to her by asking her kids to volunteer at a local shelter.

Besides Newkirk, whose critical viewpoint focused on supporting homeless animals, fans came to the reality star for other reasons.

The explosion shared that a portion of Kardashian’s online fan base said pets shouldn’t be occasional gifts because caring for them would be a handful of responsibilities.

Other fans warned that every child having their own dog might not be the best solution, as it could weaken the bond between siblings and their pets.

A few years ago, social media users criticized Kardashian for not providing adequate living spaces for her dogs at the time. This happened after North shared a video showing the dogs living in a garage.

Last Christmas was eventful for the iconic model, right down to the Christmas photos for her social media. She shared her failed attempts to properly capture all the children in one image on her. Instagramwriting: “I really tried.”
