Five years after January 6, the attack on the Capitol continues to divide America

Five years after Donald Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol as Congress was certifying Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 election, the United States has held no official commemoration. Political divisions persist and a plaque honoring the police who defended the Capitol remains uninstalled.
