UN ‘upset’ that Trump took ‘bold steps’ to improve Venezuela, says Mike Waltz

US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz said “Hannity” Tuesday, why he thinks the UN is “so upset” by President Donald Trump’s capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro.

“More than 50 countries haven’t even recognized Maduro because he stole the election. So it’s hard to understand why they’re so upset,” Waltz told Fox News host Sean Hannity.

“I think we know the answer. It’s because it’s President Trump, and he’s a man of action and he took concrete steps. And now the Venezuelan people are going to be better off,” he added.

Waltz’s comments came after the UN said Tuesday that the United States had withdrawn Maduro of Venezuela violates international law and makes the world less secure.

Maduro is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York – a facility known for housing high-profile criminals like disgraced musician Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.

He has pleaded not guilty to four charges, including narcoterrorism.

Waltz praised the president for taking “concrete action” against the South American strongman.

“The world is safer, stronger and certainly more prosperous because of it,” Waltz argued.

China, Russia and Iran are among the countries that have criticized the administration’s actions against the dictator.

“It was the right thing to do,” Waltz said. “President Trump has taken bold action and will continue to rock and DOGE this ridiculous organization called the United Nations.”

Waltz also touted the defunding of the U.N. Human Rights Council, a move he said was made possible by the Trump administration.

“We just pushed and squeezed the UN to agree to cut over 3,000 of its bureaucrats, its first budget cut in its history. So we are moving away from DOGE,” he said.
