Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban quietly finalize their divorce

After nearly two decades together, Nicole Kidman And Keith Urban have taken a decisive step towards the end of their marriage.

Without fanfare and without a public statement, the former couple reached a comprehensive settlement that resolved custody, finances and property.

The deal offers a revealing glimpse into how the two stars are choosing to move on, privately and deliberately, after months of speculation.

Just three months after Kidman officially filed for divorce, court records confirm that she and Urban have finalized a settlement agreement that ends their 19-year marriage.

Kidman, 58, cited irreconcilable differences during her Sept. 30 filing, shortly after their separation became public.

According to documents obtained by the Daily Mailthe agreement was reached amicably, with both parties waiving any claims for spousal or child support. Each will also cover their own legal fees and related expenses, a move that underscores the cooperative tone of the proceedings.

A court hearing was held to formalize the agreement, although Kidman chose not to attend. She would have returned from Australia by then, choosing instead to handle matters through her legal team.

One of the most notable elements of the settlement concerns custody of their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith, 14.

Under the parenting plan, Kidman will spend 306 days a year with the children, while Urban will have them for 59 days, described as “every other weekend.”

Although both parents reported monthly incomes in excess of $100,000, the court ordered child support of zero dollars, reflecting the terms agreed to by both parties. The decision suggests a shared understanding of financial responsibility and a desire to avoid protracted disputes. The settlement also guarantees children’s stability, with schooling and daily routines remaining largely unchanged.

Urban continued to cover private school tuition, a responsibility he reportedly intends to keep.

Beyond custody, the agreement addresses the division of property accumulated during their marriage.

The divorce decree states that all property, including household furniture, appliances, vehicles, bank accounts, investments and personal effects, have been divided to the “mutual satisfaction” of both parties, with each party retaining what is currently in their possession.

The final decree confirms that all claims for alimony and spousal support are permanently waived. Any remaining legal costs will be split equally, further emphasizing the balanced nature of the agreement.

Although speculation has swirled about whether the couple had a prenuptial agreement, court records do not confirm its existence. Typically, such agreements appear in divorce papers, but no documents have surfaced to clarify this detail.

What stands out most from the filings is what the former couple chose not to do.

The documents reveal that both sides refused to engage in a formal investigation, avoiding a process that can often become controversial and invasive.

The decree explicitly states that “each party indicates that it does not wish to proceed with a formal investigation, including completing interrogatories and requests for production of documents, or discovery depositions, intended to discover assets and debts.” »

The move suggests that Kidman and Urban resolved the issues privately with their attorneys, sparing themselves a lengthy legal battle and minimizing public exposure.

Once the settlement is in place, the divorce is essentially complete, pending the formal signing of the final judgment.
