Newcastle announces new global partnership with Guinness

Newcastle United have unveiled a major new global partnership with Guinness, bringing together two instantly recognizable names with passionate followers across the world.

The deal will see the world-famous Irish stout – alongside Guinness 0.0 – spread throughout St. James’ Park, from concourses to hospitality lounges, giving Magpies fans a new matchday ritual to savour.

Guinness had already shown its support for the Toon Army this summer, supporting the club’s exclusive fan event in South Korea during its pre-season tour.

More than 250 supporters joined Newcastle players and legends for an afternoon of entertainment, giveaways and, of course, a few pints – a celebration of the spirit of the black and white faithful, whether at home or on the other side of the world.

Newcastle United commercial director Peter Silverstone said: “Newcastle United and Guinness are two iconic global brands set to come together. They will help us deliver unforgettable experiences to fans in Newcastle and around the world.”

Somnath Dasgupta, marketing director of global sports partnerships at Guinness, added: “Newcastle United are a famous one-city club with a passionate fan base that transcends geographies to reach every corner of the world. We are incredibly excited to extend and deepen our association in football, and launch new rituals with the Geordie faithful around the world.”

From the Gallowgate End to Guinness fans around the world, the partnership promises to blend football and stout into something special.

What Newcastle Brown Ale will think of it though… well, that’s a conversation best had over a pint.
