CardiB expressed his frustrations in the midst of a difficult time, both personally and professionally.
During a Spaces session via X On Monday (January 5), Cardi, 33, became upset when a listener suggested she quit social media and act like a celebrity.
“I need to speak out,” the rapper said. “When I express myself, I feel a lot better. Holy shit? Let me handle it, bitch. Holy shit? Are you that fucking famous, bitch? Talk to me when you’re that fucking famous, bitch.”
Cardi continued: “When you got that kind of f***ing fame and that type of f*cking money, bitch, then you f*cking talk to me. Don’t tell me how you feel. F*ck? Bitch, you ain’t f*cking in my place.”
The rant came as Cardi’s boyfriend, Steve Diggsis currently facing strangulation and assault charges after allegedly attacking her personal boss following a financial dispute last month.
Diggs, 32, and Cardi welcomed their first baby together, a boy, in November and have been linked since 2024.
Cardi hasn’t hesitated to defend Diggs on social media, as evidenced by a message deleted since earlier this week about the woman who accused him of assault.
“Not once has this woman told me she was touched…NOT ONCE!!,” Cardi wrote via X, according to TMZ. “Mind you we were talking every day until she left this house and she JUST wrote me this…but I’m going to let the courts handle the shit and when this is settled I want you all to talk shit on your knees with apologies as loud as how you bullied for a lie…and I put that on my two month old son in the name of the lord!! That’s how confident I am.”
The message was accompanied by an alleged text from the boss to Cardi, which read: “I’m so sorry I can’t talk to you, I didn’t mean that especially in the way it was written, please contact my mediator and she will answer everything you need to know. But only in person and in confidence.”
Diggs denied the allegations against him in a statement to Us Weekly through his attorney on December 30.
“They are unsubstantiated, uncorroborated and never investigated – because they did not happen,” the lawyer said. David Meier said. “The timing and motivation of the allegations are very clear: they are the direct result of a financial dispute between employee and employer that was not resolved to the employee’s satisfaction. Stefon looks forward to establishing the truth in court.”
Cardi is currently in rehearsals for her upcoming tour, which kicks off February 11. In a video shared via X on December 29, a day before the allegations against Diggs were announced, Cardi admitted to feeling overwhelmed.
“I have so much work to do from the beginning of January that it stresses me out,” she explains. “I’m going to be away from my baby, from my babies, away from my personal life, away from my home. I have to rehearse 10 to 12 hours a day for the tour. There are so many production elements that I’m missing for the tour. I’m already super stressed, you know what I mean?”
Cardi also shares daughters Crops7, and Bloom15 months and son Wave4 years, with an ex-husband Compensate.
