Every fall, dozens of maples and oaks in my neighborhood lose their leaves. Thus begins the constant hum of gas-powered leaf blowers each day until early December. Noise is by far the most annoying thing about these gardening tools, but I can understand that it’s a necessary evil – unless you’d rather take a blister-inducing rake.
Aero Whisper argues that there is a better way. The company uses aerospace technology to silence noisy devices, introducing the T1 leaf blower at CES 2026 under its Tone Outdoors sub-brand. The company promises that the T1 is 80% quieter and 60% more powerful than “leading” handheld gas leaf blowers. Specifically, the T1 has an airflow of 880 CFM, which easily outperforms my battery-powered EGO. And with 52 decibels of average noise at maximum volume, its model is considerably quieter than any leaf blower I’ve used. I was able to confirm its lower roar at the CES show.
Tone says the T1 also offers an extended battery life of up to 50 minutes when charging in Eco mode. It’s also more than I get with my mid-level EGO. Additionally, the company plans to sell a battery-powered backpack that will extend cleaning sessions by several hours. The T1 also has a built-in LED “night light” so you can still use it after dark. And since it’s quieter than what you currently have, you can do it without disturbing your neighbors.

So how does Whisper Aero achieve this? The company’s initial goal was to design a quieter solution for aerospace electric motors. Its engineers discovered they could significantly reduce noise and increase overall efficiency by redesigning the fan and motor. They are continuing their research in this direction, but the company has discovered that its technology has other uses as well.
The T1 is already available for pre-order for $599 and is scheduled for delivery in September. If you don’t like the standard green color, you can spend an extra $100 for the limited edition “Silence Is Golden” version. The battery backpack, however, will not arrive before the first quarter of 2027 (price to be determined). Tone also says it has additional models in the works and has a partnership with Stanley Black and Decker that will likely produce additional products incorporating this technology.
