ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Di Bella believes it will be difficult for anything to top his victory over Prajanchai PK Saenchai in their rematch at ONE Fight Night 36 last October.
The Team Di Bella Kickboxing superstar booked a ticket to the world title unification against the Thai megastar after winning the interim title against Sam-A Gaiyanghadao at ONE 172 in Saitama, Japan.
The loss to Prajanchai in June 2024 served as motivation for their follow-up, and he couldn’t have executed his game plan better.
For five tough rounds, the Montreal native was ready to strike, catching the Thai with speed and volume en route to a deserving unanimous decision victory and 26 pounds of gold.

During an interview with ONE ChampionshipJonathan Di Bella has explained why his victory against the Thai at Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium holds such an important place in his heart.
“I had to step it up because he was the only guy who beat me on paper, and I really wanted revenge,” the 29-year-old told the organization.
“I wanted the belt back, and that meant a lot to me, so the moment I won, I felt good. I felt really relieved and it was one of the most meaningful fights for me to win,” he added.
Jonathan DiBella enters 2026 on a three-fight win streak, and he’s more than ready to continue reminding everyone why he’s the reigning and undisputed ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion.
In the same interview, the 2025 ONE Championship Kickboxer of the Year declared:
“I don’t want to do one. I want to have more years like this. I know more people are following me, so I have to stay focused and I’m excited.”
Di Bella’s calculated yet explosive style made him a fan favorite throughout his four-year tenure in ONE Championship. With more dazzling appearances in the promotion, her brand can continue to grow exponentially.
He currently boasts a 5-1 slate in the promotion. Besides wins against Sam-A and Prajanchai, the Canadian-Italian slugger defeated Rui Botelho, Danial Williams and Zhang Peimian.
