Shooting in Minneapolis: “Darwinsim in full action”

Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland shared his views on the recent shooting of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in the city of Minneapolis.

THE filming took place Wednesday morning, with many Minnesota lawmakers blaming Donald Trump’s administration for the deaths.

Reports claims Good, 37, was shot multiple times in the face by an ICE agent. Videos shared online showed a red SUV speeding away from officers heading towards it.

However, the front of the car appears obscured and it is unclear whether the victim was trying to hit the ICE agent or run away.

Kristi Noem of the Department of Homeland Security said Good, a U.S. citizen, obstructed the agents’ work and armed her vehicle while trying to run over the agent.

An angle of the video was shared online with Strickland commenting on it. He seemed to initially side with the officer with his point of view:

“Darwinism in full force…”

The UFC star was then asked several questions about replied:

“No man, I’m not an idiot but at the end of the day, you hit a cop with a car, you’re going to die.”

Strickland also justified the shooting, but claimed it was not morally right:

He was also asked what he would do if he were the officer. Strickland said he wouldn’t shoot a woman and would have I just got out of the way:

“Tbh, I don’t really want to kill a woman…lol, I know it’s sexist and I should give her a** but I would just step aside…Now if the shit hit anyone else after this it would suck but I’m not going to shoot a woman for hitting me with her car.”

Some X users also criticized the actions taken by the ICE agent, but Strickland claimed the agents could be also suffering from the work they have to do:

“Yeah man, but it’s to their credit…Trump tells you to do a job and you literally go into war zones just to enforce each country’s laws…the mental fatigue on these guys must be pretty wild.”

Strickland also didn’t think any of the ICE agents would be put on trial when some X users questioned his perspective on the incident.
