As The shadow room previously reported, Lil Durk was taken into federal custody on murder-for-hire charges in October 2025. Since then, Complex reports that Durk is awaiting trial and has been in solitary confinement for four months. This is believed to be because he owns an unauthorized Apple Watch. As a result of this infraction, Durk would have been barred from stewardship and would only be allowed to receive one phone call once a month, with no in-person visits.
“[Lil Durk] is confined in a very small prison cell, just big enough for a single bed, a toilet and a sink. The deleterious effects of prolonged solitary confinement on an inmate’s psychological well-being are well documented,” his lawyer, Christy O’Connor, reportedly explained.
In October, India Royale pledged its continued support for Durk with a post shared via her Instagram Story.
