Rice, 25, and Jones share two sons, Cayden and Cassai.

“Last March, I was involved in a high-speed accident in Dallas,” Rice said in a statement through his attorney following his sentencing. “I have spent many sleepless nights thinking about the damage caused by my actions, and I will continue to work within my means to ensure that everyone affected is healed. »

The NFL star added: “I urge everyone to obey the speed limit, drive safely and smartly. Last but not least, I am deeply sorry for the physical harm caused to people and property. I fully apologize for the harm I have caused to innocent drivers and their families.”

A lawyer for Kathryn Kuykendalone of the victims of the March 2024 incident, criticized the choice of clothing. In April, Kuykendal reached a civil settlement with Rice over injuries she said she suffered when Rice’s Lamborghini struck the Uber in which she was traveling.

“Rashee is not Nelson Mandela Or Pepe Mujicamen who fought for what they believed in,” Lenahan said.

He continued: “Release Rashee? He already thinks he’s getting away with it. He hasn’t paid a single cent of the $1.1 million judgment he already owes to our client, who is going through anything but pain-free. [and] T-shirts are cheap. If Kelce and Thornton truly believed in Rashee, they would lend her money to pay off her victims.
