Venezuela releases political prisoners, measure Trump says ‘requested’ from US

Venezuela has begun releasing a “large number” of political prisoners, including prominent opposition figures and several foreigners, in what U.S. President Donald Trump described as a step requested by Washington after the capture of leader Nicolas Maduro.
