I’m not a Lego obsessive, but I had a lovely, zen time over the holidays putting together an F1 racing car from the inside out. The variety of shapes Lego creates for its pieces is impressive, but at the end of the day, they’re just plastic. And the car now sits on my desk.

However, the company is about to make these pieces a lot more interesting. It doesn’t hurt that the first sets to benefit from the new technology will be Star Wars kits on March 1st.
