Tichina Arnold apologizes following viral comments about ‘reverse colorism’
If you’re not aware, let us bring you up to speed. Tichina Arnold came on board Instagram apologizing to anyone who was offended by his interview with Deon Cole. While cutting it with Deon, she recalled the “reverse colorism” that Tisha Campbell faced on the “Martin” show. She said she never meant to insult anyone and admitted to having misspoke. Her “Neighborhood” co-stars, Marcel Spears and Sheaun McKinney, supported her, saying she was simply speaking out about the prejudice she saw happening to someone with a lighter complexion. Tichina added that she was speaking from experience as she also deals with colorism. In the caption of her post, the actress said that she wants to set a good example and will always hold herself accountable.
“My apologies to anyone I insulted regarding my #ReverseColorism statement. We all have opinions but we all have a responsibility to each other equally. I want to be a POSITIVE example that brings people together, not DIVIDES them. I will always hold myself accountable above all else,” Tichina wrote.
Tichian talks about Tisha’s experience filming ‘Martin’
Tichina started going viral after recalling Tisha Campbell’s experience filming the first season of “Martin.” She said women would come to the shows and fall for Martin. Every time Tisha got on set during a scene, no one laughed at her jokes, but when she cracked up on Martin, the vibes were on 100. Tichina said it showed “reverse colorism,” because women coming on the show clearly had a problem with Martin having a light-skinned girlfriend.

Tichina Interview Sparks Response From Tisha Campbell
So where does Tisha fit into all this? She slid into Tichina Arnold’s Instagram comments section, letting her know that she didn’t take her comments the wrong way. Plus, she said she always gets her back and knows she has good intentions.
