Although he faces an eviction battle, Mickey Rourke sees no need to accept any role that comes his way to raise money for his unpaid rent at his Los Angeles home.
According to reports obtained by TMZ, the actor received a plethora of job offers last week but turned them down because they didn’t fit the price range he wanted.
At least six offers were received in the past two days, revealed the actor’s manager, Kimberly Hines, who also confirmed that Rourke only wanted to consider high-paying jobs like those offered to a star.
He would only be satisfied with roles paying around $200,000 a day, which he says fits his pedigree.

Beyond the price tag, Rourke also wants to work alongside only the best cast and crew, as he has in the past. Some of the big names he has worked with include Kim Basinger, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba and Benicio del Toro.

According to documents examined by the Daily MailRourke’s landlord gave him three days’ notice to pay or vacate on Dec. 18 after he allegedly fell behind on several months’ rent totaling $59,100.
It seems the Angel Heart actor wasn’t interested in settling the scales, as he reportedly left the house earlier this week. The outlet also claimed that two men were seen at Rourke’s home the same day, loading bags full of clothes and a suitcase into a truck.
After leaving the property, Rourke reportedly checked into a West Hollywood hotel, where rooms start at $550 a night, with his three dogs.

Rourke’s stay at the hotel isn’t expected to be long, as his manager said he will be leaving at the end of the week, possibly for a new apartment in town.

Amid Rourke’s eviction issues, a $100,000 GoFundMe campaign was started on his behalf by a woman named Liya-Joelle Jones, who said she worked as an assistant to Rourke’s manager.
The fundraiser quickly surpassed its goal in just over 48 hours, but then became controversial after Rourke denied knowledge of it in an Instagram video.
He also called the effort “humiliating” and said he would never accept “charity.”

Rourke’s manager clarified it wasn’t a “scam” after the actor’s Instagram video and suggested he probably didn’t realize a GoFundMe was being set up, although he was informed about it.
” “We said, ‘Mickey, there are people who want to help you.’ He says, “Okay, great. “I don’t think he understood, and now there’s this media frenzy and he’s lost his temper,” Hines recalled telling the actor, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“No one is trying to scam Mickey. I want him to work. I don’t want him to do a GoFundMe,” she added.

Further recalling his conversation with Rourke, his manager Hines claimed that the actor was unsure whether to accept help from his well-wishers.
“Everyone is calling me from all over the world and also asking me if I need money. I don’t know what to do,” she said. Hines then shared that she told the actor at the time to let these people help him.
However, it now appears that the actor ultimately rejected the help, as Hines revealed in his latest interview that money raised via GoFundMe would be returned to donors.
She also reiterated her belief that the actor’s talent would be enough to bring him back to the top, but admitted that Rourke would have to return to work for that to happen.
