Candace Cameron Bure honored Bob Saget in a deeply personal way. The actress took to Instagram this week to share a carousel of never-before-seen photos alongside her late father on TV’s “Full House,” marking another emotional moment of remembrance nearly four years after his sudden death. The post featured candid memories spanning decades, from the early days of “Full House” to behind-the-scenes moments that showed how close the two remained long after the cameras stopped rolling.

Bure played DJ Tanner, the eldest daughter of Saget’s Danny Tanner, on “Full House” from 1987 to 1995. What started as a scripted father-daughter relationship quickly blossomed into a real, permanent bond. That connection continued decades later when the duo reunited for “Fuller House,” which aired on Netflix from 2016 to 2020.
“I miss you. Not just today, but every day,” Candace Cameron Bure wrote in the caption, tagging Bob Saget and adding heart emojis, a simple message that resonated loudly with fans and former castmates. Kelly Rizzo commented on the post, writing that Saget “liked” Bure, while others praised the rare throwback footage and shared how Saget’s legacy still resonates.

Saget was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando four years ago during a national stand-up comedy tour. The authorities subsequently ruled out the possibility of a criminal act, believing that the actor suffered blunt head trauma after an accidental fall. At the time of his death, Saget had just kicked off the tour and had enthusiastically shared praise for his final performance online just hours earlier, making the loss even more shocking to fans and loved ones.
“Authorities determined that Bob died of head trauma,” the Saget family said in February 2022. “They concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head with something, didn’t think about it, and fell asleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.”

“Now that we have the final findings of the authorities’ investigation, we felt it was only right that fans hear these findings directly from us,” they added. “As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know that you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.”

In the days following the death of Bob Saget, the cast of “Full House” reunited to honor the man they considered family, releasing a joint statement alongside series creator Jeff Franklin. “Bob made us laugh until we cried,” the statement read. “Now our tears flow with sadness, but also with gratitude for all the beautiful memories of our sweet, kind, hilarious and darling Bob. He was a brother to us guys, a father to us girls and a friend to all of us.”

Shortly after Bob Saget’s death was confirmed, Candace Cameron Bure reacted publicly, sharing her shock and grief on Twitter. “I don’t know what to say. I have no words. Bob was one of the best human beings I have ever known in my life. I loved him so much,” she wrote.
The next day, Bure shared a slideshow of photos of herself alongside Bob Saget, offering a raw and emotional caption that highlighted the depth of their bond. “I love you so much. I don’t want to say goodbye. 35 years wasn’t long enough,” she wrote.

In the days that followed, Bure continued to honor Saget’s memory, posting another tribute on Instagram where she described the late actor as the emotional center of their “Full House” family. “Oh, Bob. Why did you have to leave us so soon? We are all family, but you were the glue,” she wrote alongside a photo of the two. “Sticky, messy, slimy, soft, adorable glue.”
She then reflected on how their lives had been deeply intertwined for decades. “My childhood is wrapped up in you, my formative teenage years, and the rest of adulthood. We have always been so deeply connected since the day we met when I was 10,” Bure shared. “You were not only like a father, but one of my closest friends in life. This hurts like nothing I’ve ever felt before.”
As Candace continues to share these memories with the world, it’s clear that even though Bob is gone, he remains the backbone of the “Full House” family.
