City claim monstrous FA Cup victory

Manchester City absolutely beat League One opponents Exeter City as Pep Guardiola’s side progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

City, beaten finalists for the past two seasons, benefited from two first-half own goals before piling on the goals in a huge victory.

Jake Doyle-Hayes and Jack Fitzwater were the unfortunates to put the ball in their own net after defender Max Alleyne opened his account for the club and captain on the day Rodri continued his return from injury with a brilliant goal.

City have now won their last 16 home FA Cup matches, while Exeter last beat a top team in the competition by eliminating Leicester in 1981.
