Sarah Jessica Parker shares rare PDA with her 27-year-old husband

The actress treated viewers to a rare sighting of a public display of affection, reporting that she and her husband, Matthew BroderickI still have it. The lovebirds, who usually keep their open romantic gestures to a minimum, flipped the switch right in front of the cameras.

Sarah Jessica Parker said “yes” to the love of her life in 1997. They met in 1991 and started dating shortly after. The couple shares three children: a son, James Wilkie, and twin daughters, Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta.

On Thursday evening, Parker and her husband attended Golden Eve at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, where she received the 2026 Carol Burnett Award.

The actress then made a rare public display of affection by planting a passionate kiss on the lips of her husband, Broderick. This decision actually surprised many people, as the two usually keep their affectionate acts low-key. In public, we only see them holding hands.

Photos uploaded by The daily mail show the actress’ hand placed tenderly on her partner’s neck and face while her hand gently held her waist. Their eyes closed as they leaned in for the kiss, also sharing a warm embrace.

Parker previously said she wanted to return to screens to play her “Sex and the City” character again. The decision, however, is not hers but that of the creator, Michael Patrick King.

However, she revealed that King wasn’t in sync with her enthusiasm, stating that he wasn’t thinking about a future Sex and the City project at the moment.

The last time Parker played her iconic character, Carrie Bradshaw, was in the series sequel “And Just Like That.” His feelings about Carrie returning on another project in the series were revealed after its three-season sequel ended in 2025.

Wrapping up the project was difficult for her and King. She revealed that they both had to make the difficult decision to finish “And Just Like That.”

Parker and Broderick met through the actress’ brothers in 1991 and became friends over their shared love of theater. They were both working in Hollywood at the time. Years later, Broderick asked her out via voicemail, leaving a charming effect on the actress.

The couple made their first appearance together on Broadway in 1996, and a year later they celebrated their nuptials. Their wedding was a surprise ceremony held at the Angel Orensanz Synagogue in New York.

PEOPLE share that the lovebirds invited their friends and family under the pretext that it was just a party. Eventually, Parker, wearing a black dress, married the love of her life.

The couple was blessed with their first child and only son, James, in 2002, and seven years later they welcomed their twin daughters Tabitha and Marion via surrogate.

Nicholas Cage looks back on his first romantic experiences and can’t help but remember Parker. She earlier revealed that they dated briefly before meeting Broderick.

He noted that the romance was short-lived and things didn’t work out after having dinner with Parker’s mother in the early ’90s. “I cared about Sarah, but I don’t think I passed the mom test,” Cage said, remembering the moment he knew they had no future together.
