Paris Hilton reassures herself about her long-time best friend Britney Spears as fans continue to express concern over the pop star’s recent behavior and well-being. Hilton has consistently praised Spears over the years, publicly supporting the singer even as members of Spears’ own family raised the alarm over what they described as a devastating personal spiral. The socialite has previously praised Spears for her strength and shared updates on their lunch and dinner dates in Malibu, proving that the two remain close despite continued public scrutiny. Yet fans have continued to express growing concern about Britney Spears’ behavior, particularly on social media, where her posts and public appearances have sparked concern.

The former “Simple Life” star stepped out Friday night at the WWD Style Awards in Santa Monica, Calif., where she spoke with Daily Mail about how Spears is doing and whether the two have recently been in contact. “She’s fine,” Hilton replied with a smile. “She’s doing really well.”

A a particularly disturbing incident occurred last Octoberwhen the “Oops!…I Did It Again” singer was seen swerving her vehicle into the wrong lane after a night out at upscale restaurant Red-O in Thousand Oaks. Disturbing footage and photos from the evening showed Spears behaving erratically inside the restaurant.

Witnesses also said the singer appeared unsteady as a friend held her hand and guided her outside. Despite protests from several people, including her partner and restaurant staff, Spears finally got behind the wheel of her black BMW.

Shortly after this incident, a video surfaced showing Spears leaving a wine bar in Los Angeles looking disheveled, with a champagne flute still in her hand. The following month, the singer shared a confusing and emotional post on social media reflecting on the loss and pain. “Sometimes, through suffering, ugliness and sacrifice, extremely rare and beautiful things can be manifested and shared and can touch another person and make them realize that they are not alone…” she wrote.

The post came after she also wrote that “sadness and darkness” can “bring home the loss of someone and the hurt and pain…”

The latest incidents have prompted many people to revisit the chapter of Spears’ life that followed her public breakup. As fans know, Spears was placed under conservatorship in February 2008 following a highly publicized breakup, a legal arrangement that remained in effect for nearly 14 years. The conservatorship was largely controlled by her father, Jamie Spears, who retained significant authority over her personal life and financial affairs until the agreement was officially terminated by a judge in November 2021.

In the years since, Spears has spoken openly on Instagram about the alleged abuse she says she suffered during the conservatorship, repeatedly criticizing the level of control placed over her life.
