The acrimonious split between Billy Ray Cyrus and his estranged wife Firerose has taken a new turn after she shared an explosive audio recording that she claims is proof of the verbal and emotional “abuse” she suffered.
In one clip, a male voice purportedly belonging to the country singer can be heard repeatedly yelling “fucking bitch” at her during what appears to be a tense domestic argument.
“I don’t know who you think you are…fuck you, fuck you. You know better than that, you idiot,” the voice says in the one minute and 28 second clip, according to the Daily Mail.

“I was supposed to leave two hours ago,” the voice continues. “If you would have just shut up and left him alone… I don’t know who you think you are.
The person added: “I don’t think you’re really that smart. I’ve changed my mind about that. What you are is a fucking selfish bitch.”

Cyrus and Firerose got engaged in 2022 after first meeting on the set of “Hannah Montana” 12 years ago, according to People Magazine.
The couple married in October 2023, but their separation happened quickly, with Cyrus filing for divorce/annulment in May 2024, citing fraud and irreconcilable differences, and the marriage officially ended in August of that year, after about seven months together.
Firerose, real name Johanna Rosie Hodges, revealed in an interview after their split that she was diagnosed with a BRCA1 gene mutation and therefore underwent a double mastectomy.

In December, Firerose shared a TikTok post in which she used a popular video storytelling trend to share her experience in her marriage to Cyrus, highlighting some of the abuse she suffered.
“In your 20s, you will meet a 49-year-old man who will convince you that he is your soul mate. It is very important that you do not believe him,” she wrote in the video, according to the newspaper. Daily mail.
The Australian singer then left a message for fans who may have suffered the same ordeal, writing: “If you’re a survivor of narcissistic abuse, you’re not alone. It’s scary how similar survivors’ experiences are. Behind closed doors, it’s still the same playbook.”

She continued, “Control, isolation, rage, manipulation, walking on eggshells, cognitive dissonance, feeling like the only person in the world who can experience what you are. But I promise, God sees everything, and there is a light at the end of the tunnel.”

Cyrus’ marriage to Firerose was his third and second, according to his divorce filing. He was previously married to Tish Cyrus for 28 years until their separation in 2022.
He shares five children with Tish: Miley, Noah, Braison, Brandi and Trace.
Cyrus also shares a son, Christopher Cody, with former partner Kristin Luckey.
Since his split from Firerose, the singer has moved on and is now dating Elizabeth Hurley. They went public with their relationship in April and looked happy as they celebrated their first Christmas together last month.

Their Christmas photo came months after a source said People Magazine that they are “going strong”.
“They’ve been together for over six months now. Despite the skepticism, it was still real from the start,” our source said.
“They’re very different, but it works. They’re so cute together,” they added. “It’s the kind of connection that surprises people but becomes more meaningful when you spend time with them. Liz is very happy.”
