Celtic are looking for firepower in their race to claim the Scottish Premiership and they could now be ready to step up their efforts to sign a highly-rated international.
Celtic comfortably sweep Dundee United
Although supporters expressed disappointment at the Hoops hierarchy’s failure to sign a striker ahead of their clash with Dundee United, any frustration quickly turned to elation after Martin O’Neill guided his team to a comprehensive home victory.

Celtic consider signing Kieron Bowie
According to Herald Sport, Celtic have reported interest in marksman Kieron Bowie at Hibernianasking to be “kept informed of any possible transfer agreements” or approaches involving the Scotland international.
In light of recent speculation regarding his future, Hibees boss David Gray responded by saying: “I think the speculation is going to be there in terms of people approaching the club. One thing Kieron has to do, and it’s the same as every other player, is to keep doing what he’s doing.”
Enjoying a fine campaign, Bowie has scored nine times and registered three assists in 28 appearances in all competitions and scored against Motherwell on Saturday to continue his form. Any transfer would break the record between Scottish clubs, which remains Scott Brown’s £4.4 million move from Hibernian to Celtic in 2007.
Given that he is a native of the country and already acclimated to the vagaries of the Scottish Premiership, the former Fulham player would be a popular addition to Parkhead, although it remains to be seen whether Celtic are prepared to meet his £6.5m valuation, especially considering that English clubs are also monitoring his situation.
