Shepard echoed similar sentiments in the post’s caption, assuring fans that he wasn’t embarrassed about not making history as the first person to win the Golden Globe award for Best Podcast. “I won tonight. And every night,” he wrote.

Aside from being a proud father, Shepard never fails to show his love for his longtime partner, actress Kristen Bell. The couple attended the Golden Globes as a team, enjoying a date night with two nominees while rocking Giorgio Armani ensembles.

Like her husband, Bell did not emerge victorious in the category for which she was nominated. She was up for best actress in a musical or comedy series for her performance in “Nobody Wants This,” but lost to “Hacks” star Jean Smart.

“I’m a fashion guy. My husband and my best friend were nominated for the first ever podcast category,” Bell exclaimed. She said she would lose her mind when their category was brought up at the awards ceremony; however, she didn’t mind if they lost.

“Even if they don’t win because I’m so proud of them,” Bell said, doubling down on her commitment to supporting her husband and best friend over herself. “I don’t even think about myself,” she added. The couple’s double awards show loss came days after Shepard’s shocking revelation on the podcast.

During a January episode of his podcast, Shepard revealed that he discussed motherhood with his youngest daughter, Delta. He claimed the preteen told him she couldn’t wait to have a child, a statement that came as no surprise.

According to Shepard, her youngest always displayed a caring nature as she cared deeply for her stuffed animals and took them on family vacations. Since he knew Delta loved children, the actor didn’t avoid the conversation.

Shepard explained that he asked Delta at what age she imagined having children, assuring her that he wouldn’t judge if she wanted to start at 18. Surprisingly, the girl thought that somewhere between 30 and 40 was perfect.
