Anthony Anderson maybe you’ve dipped back into the dating pool. At least that’s what his recent decision suggests!
The actor is leaving fans uncertain about the status of his love life post-divorce. There were many rumors about this last year, but nothing has been confirmed.
Anthony Anderson finalized his divorce from his ex-wife, Alvina Stewart, in 2023 after 22 years of marriage. The former couple began dating during their early college days, married in 1999 and share two children between them.

Anderson came out looking fabulous in a classic tuxedo and bow tie, walking hand in hand with Rocsi Diazwho looked elegant in a stunning floral dress. The two were seen leaving the Golden Globes on Sunday outside Wolfgang Puck’s Spago in Beverly Hills.
TMZ I caught up with them for a quick chat and dropped the million dollar question: “Are you dating?” to which Anderson diplomatically replied, “That’s my date for the evening.”
The duo spotted on several intimate outings last year sparked dating rumors. Anderson, however, made a point of maintaining the fact that they had been friends for almost twenty years.

Anderson spits out facts when he says they’ve known each other for decades. The two had obvious chemistry when Anderson was a guest on “106 & Park” back when Diaz hosted the BET talk show.
At that time, they only let the friendship flourish because the “Black-ish” star was still married to his then-wife, Alvina Stewart.
Now that the marriage is over, it seems like the right time for past chemistry to resurface and take root. Although nothing has been confirmed or debunked on either side, Anderson insists, “Friends are always friends.”

The same year, his divorce was finalized, BET reported that the actor was in a new relationship. Without sharing names or other details, Anderson revealed that he has a new girlfriend who gets along well with his mother.
The TV star added that this was not a new occurrence as his mother, Doris, was always keen to know who he was in a relationship with. Anderson added that over the years, his mother always gave them space, but with his new girlfriend, she was all in and asking for details.
He further shared that his new partner and his mother had become friends, remembering a time when Doris called her to ask where to get a new wig.

Stewart first filed for divorce in 2015, but later denied the divorce filing in 2017. She cited irreconcilable differences and listed the date of their separation as April 1, 2014.
Five years later, she filed for divorce again, again citing irreconcilable differences and seeking spousal support and attorney’s fees. A few days later, Anderson filed for dissolution of the marriage.
According to legal documents obtained by The explosionthe TV star was to pay his wife more than $4 million as a settlement and $20,000 in alimony, which is likely to increase.

They scouted out their belongings, including homes and cars, and agreed that since they would not be buried together, they would sell their dual plot of land at Inglewood Park Cemetery. Child support was not a consideration because their two children, Kyra and Nathan, were already adults.

Anderson had been open about his close relationship with his mother. He had already paid tribute to her during the launch of their travel show “Anthony Anderson and Mom: European Vacation” on E!.
“I thought it was a great way to celebrate my mother and honor her in that way because of the sacrifices she made for me,” the “G20” star said in an interview.
During Black History Month in 2024, Anderson opened up about the moment that changed his life. He remembers watching his mother rehearse “A Raisin in the Sun” at age nine and realizing his life’s calling.
From that point on, he felt driven to impact the lives of his children and other people who watched him on screen through the roles he took on television shows.
