Computing brand Framework has increased RAM prices for its desktop systems and mainframes in response to rising costs from its suppliers. Compared to when desktop computers were announcementthe 32GB and 64GB options each cost $40 more, but its 128GB variant now costs $460 more. THE current price for machines, the price is $1,139 for 32GB, $1,639 for 64GB, or $2,459 for 128GB.
Since the company began changing its pricing structure last month, it engaged to remain transparent with customers about changes that occur in RAM prices. Framework also said it would cut prices again once the market calms down. Original prices will be honored for all existing pre-orders.
One of the great lessons of CES 2026 was that the RAM was going to be an expensive product This year. The rising costs are largely driven by artificial intelligence projects, such as the rush to build data centers. As a result, buyers who take the modular approach may want to upgrade less expensive components for better specifications without investing increasingly heavily in memory.
