Tottenham ready to make January move for Omar Marmoush

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a surprise move for Manchester City striker Omar Marmoush as they explore ways to strengthen their attacking options in the January transfer window.

According to Team discussionThe north London club view the Egypt international as a versatile and technically gifted option who could add a new dimension to Thomas Frank’s squad in the second half of the season.

Marmoush, 26, is admired by Spurs for his flexibility on the front line. Able to operate both out wide and through the middle, he offers the kind of tactical adaptability that Tottenham are keen to introduce as they look to improve consistency in the final third.

His ability to carry the ball quickly, link play between midfield and attack and score goals has long attracted the attention of recruiting teams across Europe.

Omar Marmoush is a versatile offensive player

Before joining Man City, Marmoush built a solid reputation in Germany with Eintracht Frankfurt, where he showcased his attacking instincts and end product in the Bundesliga.

Tottenham are reportedly evaluating Marmoush as a potential alternative to Antoine Semenyo, another player on their radar.

As competition for Semenyo intensifies and Bournemouth prepares for interest from several big clubs, Spurs want to keep options open rather than pinning all our hopes on a single target.

Despite his pedigree, Marmoush has found limited opportunities under Pep Guardiola this season.

The striker has made just four starts in all competitions under Guardiola this season at the Etihad.

This lack of consistent playing time has understandably fueled speculation about his future, especially as he enters what should be the peak years of his career.

The situation is further complicated by Marmoush’s current participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, where he represents Egypt.

His absence on international duty could delay any concrete moves in January, while also limiting Tottenham’s ability to move discussions forward quickly.

From the Spurs’ perspective, adding offensive depth is a priority. Frank wants to inject more unpredictability and goalscoring into his team as they strive to improve their league position and remain competitive in all competitions.

Marmoush’s skills, particularly his ability to play multiple roles, make him an attractive option.
