Team India’s young batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed a stunning century for Bihar against Arunachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025 match. The left-handed batter recorded the second-fastest hundred by an Indian in List A cricket, surpassing the likes of Yusuf Pathan, Urvil Patel and Abhishek Sharma.
Vaibhav recently played for India in the 2025 Under-19 Asia Cup. He scored the majority of his points against lower-ranked opponents, including 171 against the UAE. Vaibhav finished the tournament with 261 runs in five matches at an average of 52.20 and a strike rate of 182.52, including a century and a fifty.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi produced a remarkable knock in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Wednesday (December 24). He became the second-fastest Indian to score a List A century. The 14-year-old reached the milestone in just 36 balls while representing Bihar against Arunachal Pradesh in a Plate group match in Ranchi.

Suryavanshi dominated the bowling with a host of boundaries, smashing 10 fours and eight sixes. He brought up his hundred with a single in the top of the 12th.

Anmolpreet Singh smashed a century in just 35 balls for Punjab against Arunachal Pradesh in Ahmedabad in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He remained unbeaten with 115 runs from 45 deliveries while chasing a target of 165 runs.
Australian batter Jake Fraser-McGurk holds the record for the fastest List A hundred. The Australian reached the milestone in just 29 balls while playing for South Australia against Tasmania in Adelaide in October 2023.

At just 14 years and 272 days old, Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest player to score a century in List A. Suryavanshi has previously scored centuries in several formats and levels including Vijay Hazare Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, IPL, Youth ODIs, Youth Tests and India A cricket.
