Venus Williams and Andrea Preti get married

According to Voguethe two were married in a first ceremony in Italy, which reportedly took place on September 18.

“We dreamed of celebrating our wedding in Italy. But we didn’t have enough time to complete the paperwork. Because I’m a foreigner, it can take about eight months. So we decided to have a second wedding,” Venus told the media outlet.

According to the outlet, the couple’s second wedding took place in Palm Beach, Florida over the weekend, although the six-day ceremony reportedly began last week.

“We started on Monday. Serena got us a beautiful yacht and she organized all the food, everything. We had 10 to 12 of our closest family and friends who were in town on the boat, and we were singing and dancing and chatting and having fun together,” Venus told the outlet.

On Tuesday, Venus had her bridal shower, on Wednesday she and her loved ones enjoyed a night out in Miami, and then Thursday consisted of “a sports day, with volleyball, tennis, dodgeball, wheelbarrow races and pickleball.” The couple were married at a courthouse on Friday.

“I can’t describe how beautiful, calm, sacred, exciting and exhilarating it was. It was just a dream,” Venus said.

Then, the couple apparently exchanged self-written vows on Saturday, December 20.

“It was just the happiest, most beautiful, sweetest day,” she remarked.

Meanwhile, Serena Williams took to X to also share photos from her sister’s wedding as well as a congratulatory message.
