10 Best Christmas Movies on Prime Video to Watch Right Now

Who would have thought of the most moving adaptations of Charles Dickens’ film? A Christmas Carol Would the Muppets star? In this version, Gonzo plays Charles Dickens, who, with the help of Rizzo the Rat, tells the Christmas story of Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine). A greedy capitalist living in 19th century London, Scrooge hates Christmas and everyone around him. But when he is visited by four ghosts on Christmas Eve, he is forced to look back on his life and see how a past tragedy made him the unhappy man he is today.

Besides being a fairly accurate iteration of Dickens’ story, The Muppets Christmas Carol is also consistently funny, with excellent punchlines and sight gags occurring almost every minute. The film is also surprisingly moving, especially when Scrooge realizes that Tiny Tim (Robin the Frog) will die if he doesn’t get medical help. The Muppets Christmas Carol is often considered a “kids’ film”, but its special magic, catchy tunes (yes, there are songs) and good direction (the ghost scenes are really scary!) are suitable for everyone.
