Lamar Jackson trade rumors erupt as Ravens’ playoff hopes fade

THE Baltimore RavensThe season is on the brink as their playoff hopes dwindle heading into Week 17 of the season, and substantial changes could come to the offense in 2026.

Lamar JacksonA two-time NFL MVP and four-time Pro Bowler, was mentioned in a report as a possible trade candidate before the start of the 2026 season. Jackson, who missed time due to injuries at several points this season, left Sunday night’s game against the New England Patriots and saw his team fall in a crucial game 28-24.

In a column for Baltimore Sunshine On Wednesday, columnist Mike Preston wrote that Jackson had “already become a central figure in possible trade negotiations.” He suggested the Ravens potentially consider trading the star quarterback and named two potential landing spots.

The Miami Dolphins and the Las Vegas Raiders.

The column said that Jackson “would love to play in Miami”, while Tom Brady had shown a “fondness” for the player in the past, which would make Las Vegas a good destination.

There has been no public indication that the Ravens have made Jackson available. The team signed Jackson to a massive five-year contract worth $260 million ahead of the 2023 season after an impasse between the two sides.

He is owed $51.25 million in 2026 and 2027 and has a full no-trade clause, according to in Spotrac.

Rather, Jackson was told in the column to train better and follow a regimented program to avoid further injury to arise.

He has played in 115 games with the Ravens since entering the league in 2018. He has 22,370 passing yards and 184 touchdowns, along with 6,513 rushing yards and 35 rushing touchdowns.

Despite all of its regular season success, the Ravens only reached the conference championship once.
