Father desperately chases tow truck carrying his child

The child’s father told police he ran out of the restaurant and banged on the tow truck’s window several times, trying to get Suarez’s attention and warn him that his daughter was in the car. However, the truck allegedly continued to move forward while the father pursued it.

Things took an even more serious turn when the father told police he saw his daughter fall out of the moving vehicle and onto the roadway. The arrest report says he ran into traffic to grab her and pull her to safety. The child suffered superficial injuries to her right arm and calf and was taken to hospital for treatment. Officers then contacted the towing company and Suarez returned to the restaurant with the vehicle, where he was arrested.

Suarez claims questioned as judge cites video evidence

He also said his company, All-Ways Towing, called him several times to say a child was inside the car, although he later claimed he stopped and found no one inside. Authorities say his actions showed “reckless disregard for the safety of a minor.Suarez is now charged with child neglect without serious bodily injury, a third-degree felony in Florida, and has been released on $10,000 bail.

In court, his lawyer claimed Suarez checked the car three times, but the judge pointed out that video evidence and Suarez’s own statements suggested otherwise.
