President Donald Trump used his post on Christmas Eve Truth Social to tout his administration’s accomplishments and to criticize those on the left whom he accused of trying to “destroy” the United States.
“Merry Christmas to everyone, including the radical left scum who are doing everything they can to destroy our country, but failing sorely,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “We no longer have open borders, men in women’s sports, transgender for all, or weak law enforcement. What we do have is a record stock market and 401k, the lowest crime rate in decades, no inflation, and yesterday a GDP of 4.3, two points better than expected.”
“The tariffs have brought us billions of dollars of growth and prosperity, and the strongest national security we have ever had. We are respected again, perhaps like never before. God bless America!!!”, the president added.
During the first year of Trump’s second term, the administration launched a broad campaign crackdown on illegal immigrationintroduced controversial tariffs, worked to remove DEI from government programs, and took steps to fulfill other campaign promises.

The Department of Homeland Security announced Wednesday that it has arrested 17,500 criminal illegal immigrants since Trump signed the Laken Riley Act in January 2025. DHS announcementthe department revealed the “Worst of the Worst Criminal Illegal Aliens in 2025,” saying 70% of all ICE arrests are of illegal immigrants “convicted or charged with a crime in the United States.”
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement on the results of the Laken Riley Act that “President Trump has given us the authority to arrest and deport the millions of violent and illegal criminal aliens unleashed on the United States by the previous administration. Now, these criminals will be brought to justice and removed from our country.”
Trump’s post on Christmas Truth Social about his administration’s accomplishments was also supported by recent economic data. On Tuesday, the Bureau of Economic Analysis released its first estimate of third-quarter GDP, which showed the economy grew at an annualized rate of 4.3% over the three-month period that included July, August and September.

“Compared to the second quarter, the acceleration of real GDP in the third quarter reflects a smaller decrease in investment, an acceleration of consumer spendingand a recovery in exports and public spending. Imports fell less in the third quarter,” the BEA said.
While the president issued a scathing statement on Christmas Eve on Truth Social, his official Christmas day message was gentler and more focused on the meaning of the holidays and the season.
In the statement released Thursday by the White House, Trump and the first lady Melania Trump extended warm wishes to Americans while emphasizing the religious significance of Christmas.

“The First Lady and I extend our warmest wishes to all Americans as we share the joy of Christmas Day and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” the message read.
Trump then recounted the biblical story of Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem, calling it “the perfect expression of God’s boundless love and desire to be close to his people.” The president then linked this story to the founding principles of the United States.
“For nearly 250 years, the principles of faith, family and freedom have remained at the center of our way of life. As president, I will never hesitate to uphold the fundamental values that make America the greatest country in the history of the world – and we will always remain one nation under God.

The president also paid tribute to U.S. service members who are overseas and cannot be with their families for the holidays. Trump thanked them for their service, sacrifice and dedication to protecting Americans.
“We are grateful for their dedication and we keep them and their loved ones close to our hearts.”
Trump ended his official message with a prayer for peace in the United States and the world, extending his Christmas wishes to Americans and the world.
“During the Christmas season, we pray for an outpouring of God’s everlasting love, divine mercy and everlasting peace upon our country and the entire world,” he said. “To all Americans and those celebrating around the world, we wish you a very Merry Christmas!”
