‘Tis the season for Stranger Things. The fifth and final season began its epic journey with Volume 1, which contained four monster-sized episodes, on the day before Thanksgiving. Now, volume 2 of The hit Netflix series is upon us, just in time for Christmas. And it gives you the perfect excuse to get away from that awkward family dinner. Let them have Santa Claus; you have Vecna.
After a long wait, Stranger Things 5 brought viewers back to Hawkins, Indiana. The year is 1987, and although there is a formidable military presence in the city, it seems that Vecna, the big bad of the series, has all but disappeared.
Well, if you’ve watched the first four episodes of season 5 on Netflixyou know that’s not exactly the case. But I’m not here to dish out spoilers.
The fourth episode, which concluded volume 1, found Will in an unexpected position of power. How will this turn of events impact the hunt for Vecna and the final boss fight, when it arrives? Your guess is as good as mine.
What’s clear is that Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Steve, Hopper, Joyce and the rest of the crew are in for one hell of an adventure – and that’s not taking into account all the other adventures, monster fights and races for survival they’ve already been through. I know therapy wasn’t as prevalent in the 80s, but boy, do these people need it.

Episode schedule for Stranger Things 5, Volume 2 and Volume 3
There are two volumes left in Season 5 of Stranger Things, with Vol. 2 fall Friday December 25, Christmas Day. The final volume, which serves as the series finale, arrives on Wednesday December 31, New Year’s Eve. All of these episodes are airing at unusual times compared to previous seasons and are coming to Netflix at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
The final episode will be available to watch in movie theaters in the United States and Canadaso be sure to buy your tickets if you want to experience it with other fans.
