Where is Santa Claus now? Trump responds to children’s calls for Norad tracker

Norad, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, began its 70-year-old tradition of tracking down Santa Claus on Christmas Eve, with US President Donald Trump joining in.

Alongside First Lady Melania, Trump responded to calls from several children.

Each year, Norad follows Santa as he travels around the world, with volunteers helping to answer calls and provide information to children about his whereabouts.

The tradition began in 1955, after a printing error at a department store led a young child to call a Colorado military command center and ask where Santa was.
