President Donald Trump said the United States launched airstrikes in northwest Nigeria on Christmas night, targeting IS militants whom it accused of killing Christians, calling the operation decisive and warning that more attacks would follow if the violence continued.

President Donald Trump announced attacks on terrorists in Nigeria, killing Christians.

“Tonight, under my command as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against The terrorist scum of the Islamic State in northwestern Nigeria, who have targeted and brutally killed, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen in many years, if not centuries! ” Trump said Thursday on Truth Social. “I have already warned these terrorists that if they did not stop the massacre of Christians there would be hell to pay, and tonight that was the case. The War Department executed many perfect strikes, as only the United States is capable of.

“Under my leadership, our country will not allow radical Islamic terrorism to flourish,” he continued. “God bless our military and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, including the dead terrorists, who will be many more if their massacre of Christians continues.”
