Defending champions Ivory Coast began their Africa Cup of Nations campaign on Wednesday by beating Mozambique with a 1-0 victory. Set to face the Elephants on Sunday, Cameroon also got off to a good start with a 1-0 win over Gabon. Algeria, meanwhile, secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Sudan, inspired by a remarkable performance from Riyad Mahrez.
