NFL Stars Help Raising Cane’s Donate 4,000 Bikes to Youth Across the Country

The holiday season is all about giving back to the community, and Raise the cane has teamed up with a superstar lineup to help impact kids nationwide this year.

For the sixth year in a row, Raising Cane spread holiday cheer on two wheels, teaming up with youth organizations and star professional athletes to surprise kids with brand-new bikes and helmets.

This tradition is one that Raising Cane founder Todd Graves wanted to share, because after all, what kid wouldn’t want that classic feeling of having a bike. at Christmas?

And after giving away 2,500 bikes last year, Graves and Cane’s took it to the next level by giving away more than 4,000 bikes and helmets to children in several cities, including Cincinnati with Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins.

“When I walked in, you could see all the joy and how their faces lit up,” Higgins told FOX Business about helping by donating 100 bikes and helmets to children at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati. Higgins was once a Boys & Girls Club kid while growing up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, which makes these gifts special considering his current platform.

“That’s what it’s all about, man. Putting smiles on these kids’ faces is amazing,” he added. “And giving them bikes too. When I was their age, I remember my first bike at the Boys and Girls Club. It made me smile, so it made me the happiest boy in the world.”

Minnesota Vikings stars Josh Metellus and Andrew Van Ginkel did the same with the Boys & Girls Club of the Twin Cities, and they explained the impact they know was created earlier this month.

“I think it’s great for Raising Cane’s to give these kids the opportunity to receive a bike and know that the community cares about them,” Metellus told FOX Business. “There are people who care about continuing their development in this world. To be a part of that is always special, given the platform, given the way I was raised, I appreciate those things, especially around the holiday season.”

Van Ginkel added: “I think life is much bigger than football and us as football players. So we can come back to the community and be there for the kids who have been through a lot and need that extra hope that can help them get through these tough times.”

Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver AJ Brown was unfortunately unable to make his scheduled appearance in his city due to a practice change, but his AJ Brown Foundation, which helps make an impact on underprivileged youth, made sure to show him the key memories created when each child was captivated by his bikes.

“I’m so grateful for this partnership that me and Raising Cane’s came together to spread holiday cheer and give kids bikes. I’m always trying to make kids smile and that goes with my foundation – mentoring and doing things for kids in the community. It’s been a blessing,” Brown told FOX Business.

From Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels to Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, the NFL roster was filled with stars as everyone helped Raising Cane’s make sure kids had their best holiday season yet.

Even NBA players have gotten involved as well, with Devin Vassell of the San Antonio Spurs, Tyrese Proctor of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Jaime Jaquez Jr. of the Miami Heat and Isaiah Hartenstein of the Oklahoma City Thunder also making an impact in their communities.
