SA20 unveils elite match officials panel for 2025-26 season



SA20 have officially announced their match official lineup for the upcoming 2025-26 season, featuring a high-caliber mix of international veterans and rising stars. This selection highlights the league’s commitment to world-class referees as it prepares for another exciting season of this popular tournament.

Global experience leads the way

The contingent is led by ICC elite panel umpires. Allahudie Paleker And Adrien Holdstock. Paleker, the reigning Cricket South Africa (CSA) Umpire of the Year with 161 T20s to his name, brings immense technical expertise to the tournament.

The return of Erasmus Marais. The former ICC Umpire of the Year, renowned for his calmness and precision, brings experience of 267 international matches to the squad.

A diverse and international panel

The full panel is made up of 18 referees and six match officials who will oversee the six-team competition at iconic grounds including Boland Park, Centurion, Kingsmead, Newlands, St George’s Park and the Wanderers.

With the aim of fostering global collaboration, the panel also features Ian Blackwell from England as part of a referee exchange programme. Additionally, the league welcomes Abdallah Steenkampthe current ACS Referee of the Year.
