Striker Alexander Isak broke his leg during this match. Wataru Endo is injured and his compatriot Dominik Szoboszlai is suspended for five warnings.

Defender Giovanni Leoni is suffering from a long-term knee injury and striker Mohamed Salah is playing in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt.

Centre-back Yerson Mosquera is also banned from Wolves for accumulating yellow cards, but wide player Hugo Bueno could return from a groin injury.

Goalkeeper Daniel Bentley (ankle), defender Toti Gomes and midfielder Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (both hamstring) are absent.

Winger Rodrigo Gomes (groin) and midfielder Marshall Munetsi (calf) are also out, while Leon Chiwome has a serious knee injury and central defender Emmanuel Agbadou is playing in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast.
