Al-Nassr return to Saudi Pro League action tomorrow for the first time in over a month as they look to extend their 100% start to a 10th match.
Jorge Jesus’ men claimed a convincing 5-1 victory over Iraqi side Al Zawraa in the second AFC Champions League on Christmas Eve, but now turn their attention to domestic matters and try to stay on course for their first Pro League crown since 2019.
Boss Jorge Jesus was in a confident mood ahead of the match.
He said: “We are top of the league and in Asia, and our team is developing, but we still need to improve. The winter transfer window will open soon and we will see what happens during this period.”
Al-Akhdoud are in third place from bottom after winning just one of their first nine matches.
Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to play after featuring in the first half against Al Zawraa.
Defender Mohamed Simakan should return but Inigo Martinez is a major doubt. Sadio Mané is absent from the African Cup of Nations.
Al-Nasar: Concrete; Al A Gana, Simaak, Almir, Al Nasser; Wesley, Brozoev, Angelo, Coman, Joo Felix, Ryllo
Al-Akhdoud: Portugal; Gul, Al Rubaie, Al Qaydhi; Abu Abd, Pedroza, Petros, Borrell, Al Salem; Narey, Bassogog
Al-Nassr vs Al-Akhdoud kicks off tomorrow at 2:50pm UK time. It is not available on UK television but can be watched on the Pro League YouTube channel.
