Mark your calendars. On January 7, 2026, CNET Group will announce the most comprehensive and compelling class of official Best of CES award winners to date.
In 2025, we came together for the first time as a family of tech media brands to announces the 11 Best of CES winners, hand-selected by journalists from CNET, PCMag, Mashable, ZDNET and Lifehacker. After discovering many fascinating new products at last January’s show, we’re going even further next year to present the Best of CES 2026, presented by the CNET Group in partnership with the Consumer Technology Association.
Next month, we’ll be collaborating for the first time with brand friends from Ziff Davis, IGN and Everyday Health, to help us announce 23 winners across as many categories, with multiple finalists in each category:

What to expect from CNET Group’s coverage
As the world recovers from the New Year’s hangover, 74 of our journalists, social media producers and video professionals will be packing their bags for Las Vegas. We will spend the first weekend in January touring the living room before anyone else arrives. When CES opens on January 6, 2026, you’ll feel like you’re there, too. Our live blogs, social media posts and trade show videos will give you a glimpse of new technologies.
On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 8 a.m. PST, CNET Group will announce the official finalists for Best of CES 2026. You can visit CNET to see them all and read the highlights of each product.
If you are lucky enough to attend CES in person, we encourage you to visit the CTA Main Stage in the Main Lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center at 4 p.m. PST to watch our Best of CES Awards show live. CNET Editor-in-Chief Bridget Carey and PCMag Mobile Editor-in-Chief Iyaz Aktar will invite experts from across our brands to join them on stage to review highlights from the show and announce and congratulate our winners. At 6:00 p.m. PST, we will update our main article on CNET to announce the 22 category winners and the Best Overall Award.
Don’t worry if you miss this announcement. We will work with our CTA partners and all our sites and platforms to shout winners from the mountain tops.
How to submit your product for Best of CES review
We would be delighted to consider any product that you believe deserves to be recognized as best in class at the show. We do, however, have some rules for participation. The product or service must be an exhibitor at CES 2026 and meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Include a compelling new concept or idea
- Solve a major consumption problem
- Is new or a significant update to an existing product that sets a new bar in terms of performance or quality
As in previous years, we cannot promise to respond to every submission, and our journalists will make the final decision on which products win and which do not. But we can’t wait to hear your point of view. If you would like to submit a product for review, use this submission form and make sure to send it to us before January 1st.
