Following England victory in the fourth Ashes Test, Australia’s perfect record in the World Test Championship is finished. Meanwhile, England recorded their third victory of the current WTC cycle.
England’s first victory in 14 years
The Three Lions arrested Australia to clear them by chasing the target on day 2 of the Boxing Day test. The visitors claimed a victory for the first time in Australia since January 2011.
With this victory, England ended their series of four defeats. They now have 38 points with a points percentage of 35.19. England have played nine Tests so far, winning three, losing five and drawing one.

Before the fourth Ash testAustralia had a 100 percent PCT. It has now fallen to 85.71 after their first defeat in seven Tests. Their six-match Test winning streak also came to an end.

Australia’s lead at the top of the rankings has narrowed, closely followed by New Zealand. The Kiwis have a points percentage of 77.78, while South Africa are in third place with 75.
India is currently sixth in the rankings. They recorded four wins, four losses and one draw during this cycle. West Indies and Bangladesh are the only teams yet to win a match.
The fifth and final Ashes Test 2025-2026 will begin on January 4 in Sydney.
